DeafTawk is seeking an experienced Project Manager, to join the core team in Islamabad.
DeafTawk is bridging the gap between 466 million deaf people in the world and their communities by providing a 24/7 real-time sign language through the app. Deaf users can sign up, connect with qualified interpreters, and use the service to communicate with anyone, including doctors, teachers, cab drivers, and relatives. DeafTawk provides services to various businesses and educational institutes to ensure the inclusivity of the Deaf Community. DeafTawk is currently successfully operating in Pakistan and Singapore. As a project manager, you will be helping us built and evolve the technology systems processes in the face of unique challenges presented by the Eco-system and users.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the grant, and ensuring the budget spent in intended way.
- Motivate the team.
- Act as a liaison between internal and external stakeholders and team members.
- Ensure complacence of the project for the donor which shall include but not limited to all sorts of finance and project report.
- To access the need of coaching and capacity building of team and fill those needs for the team by providing the coaching and mentoring the team.
- Analyzing the risks, a project may pose and formulation solutions.
- Planning, Monitoring and Execution of Trainings.
- Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
- To present the company at the different forums, locally and international and liaise with internal and external stake holders.
Requirements:
16 years of education with a degree in Project Management/ Business Administration / or relevant field.
1-3+ years of experience in managing projects, people, and products, in the technology industry.
Proven experience of working with multi-lateral, donors, development sector organizations preferably for, on by multi-lateral donors, organization like World Bank, UNDP etc.
1-3+ years of experience working across function (Engineering, Product management, Business operations, Legal) to deliver the product or a feature.
1-3+ years of management and problem-solving experience working with technical team.
1-3+ years of understanding of project and product requirement and translating those needs into plans and deliverable.
Hands on experience of working with person with disabilities especially deaf as an individual, or under an organization or voluntarily.
